The Central Bank of Russia recorded myths about digital rubles in instant messengers and social networks. About this RBC announced Regulator representative.
“As a rule, the authors of these messages try to strengthen their texts with various quotes from laws or regulatory actions that have no relationship with the digital ruble or not to tear from the context to cause the trust of the readers and cause panic.
According to him, digital rubles will be produced in addition to existing cash and out -of -escape vehicles. The decision of the owner on the use of the use will be made by him.
The Central Bank also called on the existence of the cash rejection program and the rumors that all citizens alleged to be compulsory to the digital Rubles “by another inaccessible legend”.
Previously, the President of the State Duma Property, Land and Property Relations Committee, Member of the National Bank of Russian Bank, Sergey Gavrilov ReportedThis counterfeit is distributed to social networks that are allegedly received by the Russians in Digital Ruble, and you need to send an application to the regulator or bank service pension to reject these accruals.
“Digital Ruble rejection”
Recently, according to the RBC, messages began to spread on social networks that called for digital rubles and refuse to connect them. Such publications can be found in Vkontakte, for example, some of them contain instructions for “rejection” and where to be sent and examples of application.
“The authors of the mail scare citizens of the fact that the transition to digital ruble will be forced and will lead to limiting their expenses. One of these posts says that the digital ruble has already begun to enter Sberbank and that it has collected customer signatures to digitize “new receipts”.
Facial messages use formulations such as “digital slavery” or “digital concentration camp .. At the same time, such messages often distribute accounts that publish false information.
However, there are quite “living” pages in which people publish photographs for sending applications to the Russian Bank or pension fund.
“Today I sent a letter to the Central Bank of Russia in Moscow. At the local level, I rejected the digital ruble to Sberbank and Pension Fund. ”
Access is still limited
Sergei Gavrilov announced that the draft digital ruba is still tested and that access to this currency is limited. In addition, the basis of the pension system is the principle of accessibility to buy a fund that allows each pensioner to choose a suitable option for him – cash, a bank account or for example by mail or a postman.
“It is clear that the transfer of pension salaries only to digital rubles will be a direct restriction of this election that contradicts the essence of state payments. A compulsory transition to digital rubles cannot be thought and in fact, it means a loss of real access to funds that will create a risk of social stress and technological discrimination. ”
Even if we are talking about parliament, the state, traditional banking transfers, it cannot be the only way to get them.
At least one MFC announcedIt does not provide “rejection of digital rubles” service. They remembered that the digital ruble would not replace the location with cash or unskilled calculations.
“Citizens can still choose which rubles to use independently: cash, off -cash or digital. Therefore, there is no need to reject the digital form of the currency, because the creation of accounts and operations on them is carried out depending on the discretion of the owner. ”
The Sberbank representative also told RBC that digital ruble is still not available for citizens, because the Russian Federation Central Bank plans to start it in the summer of 2025.
