Education holding company Skillbox Holding Limited transferred its assets from Cyprus to Russia and registered under the name MCAO Skillbox Holding in Kaliningrad. This was reported by “Kommersant”.
According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, the authorized capital of the holding is 502.5 million rubles.
In January, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation registered the issuance of ordinary shares of MKAO Skilbox Holding.
In 2021, Internet holding VK, formerly Mail.ru Group, created an education holding based on the assets of Skillbox and GeekBrains. VK acquired a 50.06% stake from Skillbox Holding Limited, the founders of Skillbox – 22.72%, while the other 14.21% fell into the hands of the private fund of IT entrepreneur Alexander Galitsky. Additionally, 13% was allocated to a long-term incentive program for employees.
