The Security Council of Transnistria set the task of achieving energy independence through the purchase of modern “pot-bellied stoves” and energy generators. This was reported by press service President of Transnistria Vadim Krasnoselsky.
“Duties have been determined for institutions regarding the purchase of solid fuel boilers and generators. Modern “potbelly stoves” are not only imported, but can also be produced domestically. Now this production segment is being successfully developed by Elektromash, which produces boilers with a capacity from 15 kW to 500 kW,” Krasnoselsky’s press service said in a statement.
Before that Moldova recommended Transnistria buys European gas at market prices.
January 20 Energy Minister Obolonik saidTransnistria has 11 days of gas reserves remaining.
Moldova stopped supplies of Russian gas to Transnistria in early January 2025, sparking an energy crisis in the unrecognized republic.
