Sberbank President and Chairman of the Board of Directors German Gref, within the scope of the planning session at the second “Customer Focus” conference of the Bank of Russia, said that the consumer economy, which aims to make money through the customer, has exhausted itself.
Gref noted that it is now necessary to create a system that will be on the human side.
“Last year we approved a development strategy for the next three years. But this is not about a shift to anthropocentrism. Three years is too short a time to even prepare for transformation. We set ourselves a 10-year deadline; We will transition to a people-oriented organization by 2035. “This is the future,” he said.
Gref added that the transition to human-centeredness includes several elements.
“The most important thing is the company culture. By now the business as a whole has a very developed culture of success, execution and KPI delivery. The second fundamental element is technology.
“No company can be truly people-oriented, given its maturity level so far,” he said.
Sber president noted that according to company research, 40% of customers do not set goals, while 8% only set short-term financial goals.
“We create tools that enable every person to reach their potential. However, for this, a person must understand for himself what he wants in life. We will then create a navigator for him that will help him navigate and create the shortest path. “This is a smart artificial intelligence assistant,” he said.
Gref also reminded that Sber has released the latest version of the GigaChat MAX neural network.
“It is now the most powerful model in the country and one of the most powerful models in the world. But of course, we need to gain people’s trust first. “When they realize that technology is with them, they will use it actively,” he said.
Russian Bank President Elvira Nabiullina, T-Bank president Stanislav Bliznyuk, Alfa-Bank general manager Vladimir Verkhoshinsky and Yandex director responsible for the development of artificial intelligence technologies Alexander Krainov also spoke at the general assembly.
