At the end of October, the business activity index (PMI) in the Russian service sector rose to 51.6 points. This is proven by: results Research from analysts at S&P Global.

“The index of business activity in October was 51.6 compared to 50.5 in September, indicating a modest but more significant increase in production volumes of Russian service companies,” the study says.

Analysts noted that an index value above 50 indicates an increase in business activities. Accordingly, a value below this indicator indicates the predominance of pessimistic expectations of participants in a particular sector of the economy.
