Russians abroad may no longer accept old-style US dollars. Economist and business analyst Valery Korneev talked about this in an interview 360.ru.
Currently, Russian tourists in Turkey, Egypt, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates and some other popular destinations are faced with the fact that they need to receive new dollars in perfect condition, without scratches, stains or inscriptions.
According to Korneev, this means that the Americans are testing the idea of ​​​​removing the acceptance of cash and non-cash foreign dollars in the United States. So Washington may actually refuse to pay its debt.
The analyst emphasized that this is technically possible because all non-cash dollars in circulation outside the United States are controlled by American banks and are special series of cash. According to Korneev, after such a step, the debt market will collapse and the United States will be able to buy it back at an extremely low price, thereby paying off its debts and protecting itself from hyperinflation.
Korneev advised Russian tourists to exchange currency directly in the country of destination.
