The most frequent visitors to “glamorous camping” (or glamping) resorts in May-September 2024 were Russians aged 35 to 54 (43% of guests to such stays). This conclusion was reached by analysts from the Bronevik.com platform and the Bnovo hotel management service. socialbites.ca has a study.

While one quarter of the guests were people between the ages of 18-34, the rate of children under 18 and guests over 55 was 16%.

Moscow and Moscow region residents accounted for 23% of glamping guests from May to September. In three of the five regions studied, the most active glacier enthusiasts were local residents: in the Moscow region – 80%, in Tatarstan – 70%, in the Sverdlovsk region – 69%. And only in Karelia and the Krasnodar Territory the flow of guest tourists is higher than the flow of domestic tourists – 84% and 55%, respectively.

During the warm season, glamping was also popular with tourists from neighboring regions; the share of such trips was 38%. Most of the “neighbors” came to the objects in Karelia – the nearest is St. 47% of visitors come from St. Petersburg, Leningrad, Murmansk, Arkhangelsk and Vologda regions.

The most popular region for great holidays with children was the Krasnodar Territory; 17% of guests under 18 lived here and 11% of all bookings with children in Russia were made. In Tatarstan and the Sverdlovsk region, the majority of age guests (55+ years) stayed at glamping sites – 25% and 23% respectively.

During the warm season, Russians planned glamping trips an average of one month before their arrival date. This is three times more than bookings for other types of tourist accommodation. The earliest reservation was recorded in one of the suburban areas of the Leningrad region; guests planned a trip there two years in advance, in August 2022.

The average cost of accommodation in glamping during the period under review was 10.5 thousand rubles per night (+13% on an annual basis). At the same time, their price tag has increased almost twice as slowly as that of other types of tourist accommodation. The most expensive booking for the 2024 season was made at one of the glamping sites in the Moscow region – it cost 180 thousand rubles per night for nine people.
