The British Treasury extended its general license for two months, allowing it to transact with Rosbank. TASSCiting a report from the UK Financial Sanctions Enforcement Authority (OFSI).
It is understood from the message that the license granted on 30 June will expire on 30 September 2022. Previously, it was assumed that the validity period would expire on July 30.
OFSI announced that the permit was granted after Vladimir Potanin, a businessman from the Russian Federation, was placed on the UK sanctions list. As a justification for the introduction of restrictions, the entrepreneur’s purchase of Rosbank from the French group Societe Generale (“Societe Generale”) was indicated on the background of the withdrawal of Western enterprises from Russia due to events in Ukraine.
Previously, the Russian universal bank “Rosbank” from July 4 will receive 0.5% commission per month from individuals for servicing foreign currency accounts.
