Support for the lossless FLAC format, which allows you to preserve sound quality at the level of the original studio recording, appeared in Station Midi, Station 2, Station Max, Station Duo Max and TV Stations. The new format is available to Yandex smart device owners in the “Home with Alice” application.
“Lossless quality in Yandex Music, including smart Yandex devices with Alice, is available to all users as part of the Yandex Plus subscription,” the message says.
As the company announced, Yandex Stations and TV Stations users now have three Yandex Music listening modes. They can also choose the appropriate mode according to their internet speed. For example, “superior” audio quality music is delivered in lossless and other high-quality formats. This mode is designed for high-speed Wi-Fi network and unlimited Internet.
In contrast, in the “optimal” mode, music has a balanced sound with average traffic consumption. “Economy” mode minimizes traffic consumption, allowing you to listen to music on slow Internet.
The service noted that Stations Light and Stations Mini play music in AAC and MP3 formats at high bitrates in “excellent” quality mode. This guarantees maximum sound quality depending on the acoustic properties available.
