Migrant workers from India and North Korea may begin to be imported to the Russian Federation 14:05

Director of the Institute of Socio-Economic Research of the Government of the Russian Federation Alexey Zubets said that in the context of tightening the attitude towards labor migrants from Central Asia, workers from India and North Korea will be brought to Russia. His words are instructive “Moscow speaks”.

According to him, recruitment agencies can bring thousands of skilled workers from India to Russia. He noted that such workers can be used in technologically complex industries, which cannot always be said of migrants from Central Asia.

Zubets noted that the issue of migration creates social tension in Russia. He explained that locals are uncomfortable with migrants finding jobs, but often do not try to integrate into Russian society.

Before that, the Kommersant publication stated, referring to the RANEPA study: wroteAfter 2022, the labor flow to Russia does not seem to reach the levels before the Covid-19 outbreak.
