The research also showed that 25 percent of Russians are willing to spend more than ₽50,000 on entertainment on vacation, 19 percent up to ₽50,000 and 18 percent less than ₽10,000.
Almost half of holidaymakers (47%) are willing to spend money on excursions, indicating a strong interest in cultural and historical heritage. A quarter of respondents prefer to visit amusement parks and water parks.
Transportation and food are also important expense items. 40% of the participants prefer taxis as their main means of transportation, while 33% prefer to go to restaurants outside of the package tour at least once during their vacation.
When it comes to shopping, 38% of respondents spend the most on souvenirs and gifts. At the same time, 53% of respondents always buy souvenirs when traveling.
“Half of the respondents make plans but sometimes exceed their limits, 33 percent prefer to spend according to the situation and 12 percent stick to a strict budget,” the bank said.
