On August 11, Gazprom confirmed that 39.3 million cubic meters of gas will be pumped to the EU through Sudzha GIS. M. writes about this TASS by reference to a company representative.
The company was forced to reduce gas transit through Ukraine due to the refusal of the Kiev authorities to provide pumping through the Sokhranovka GIS. At the same time, a representative of Gazprom noted that an application for pumping through a closed GIS was nevertheless submitted, but the Ukrainian side rejected it. On average, transit through Ukraine in August was more than 42 million cubic meters per day.
The situation with reduced supply is raising fears about rising gas prices. Earlier, Gazprom official Sergei Kupriyanov said that the events in the Sudzha region led to a sharp increase in gas prices on the spot market.
It was known to be in this situation before dissolution Igor Yushkov stated that fuel prices in Europe could rise to $600-700 per thousand cubic meters due to gas transit through Ukraine, but the 2022 records will not be repeated.
Previously USA directed Moving gas supplies from Europe to a more attractive market.
