Beer production in Russia reaches 11-year peak 10:46

In Russia, beer production increased by 7.3% in the January-June period to 451.4 thousand decaliters. This is a record figure since 2013, writes DEA News With reference to Rosstat.

The peak of release occurred in June. In the first month of summer, 88.2 thousand branches of beer were produced in the country. This figure increased by 1.8% compared to May. On an annual basis, the increase was 6.9%.

In the first half of the year, the main share of production fell on beer, with a strength between 0.5% and 8.6%, accounting for 85% of all products produced. Non-alcoholic beer had a share of only 2%. Another 12.1% of production came from beer-based beverages.

The leaders in beer production were the Volga and Central Federal Districts. In six months, they released 136.1 thousand decaliters and 122.7 thousand decaliters, respectively. The North Caucasus Federal District produced the least beer during this period – 6.6 thousand decaliters.

Russians started drinking more beer in 2024. For six months of sales of this drink grew up by almost 5%.

Previously in Europe was recorded decline in beer production.
