The Alfa Nero yacht, believed to belong to Russian businessman Andrei Guryev, was sold in the US to an unnamed European buyer for $40 million. The agency reports this BloombergReferring to Ronald Sanders, Ambassador of Antigua and Barbuda to the United States.

That’s nearly three times less than the yacht’s original asking price, according to Bloomberg. The deal was completed last week.

In 2023, the U.S. Treasury removed Alfa Nero from the blacklist, allowing authorities in Antigua and Barbuda to put it up for auction.

According to the publication, the Alfa Nero was abandoned in Falmouth Harbour, Antigua, in March 2022.

As the agency emphasizes, Guryev denies any connection with the yacht. Last August, the US FBI, together with local law enforcement agencies, conducted a search of the ship.

In early July, Forbes WroteFour superyachts built for Russian clients have reportedly become available for charter. The most expensive on the list is the Flying Fox, which has links to the owner of Domodedovo airport Dmitry Kamenshchik. The luxury yacht will cost €4 million to rent for a week.
