Russia plans to supply electric buses to Peru

Talks are ongoing between Russia and Peru regarding the possible supply of electric buses from the Russian Federation to the South American country. In an interview with the newspaper, “News” said Pavel Dorokhin, Russian trade representative in Lima.

According to the trade representative, new technologies, including Russian ones, are currently in high demand in Peru. Therefore, Moscow and Lima are discussing the introduction of Smart City technologies from the Russian Federation to the Peruvian market. The Smart City project was launched in 2018 as part of the national initiatives “Housing and Urban Environment” and “Digital Economy”. It is aimed at the digitalization of urban and social infrastructure.

Dorokhin noted that Russian business is actively developing the Peruvian market. He emphasized that the economic model built by the Peruvian government is extremely liberal, so there are no restrictions in the form of additional taxes in the country and entrepreneurs are provided with benefits. In this regard, the trade representative expressed the opinion that the Peruvian market is now very attractive for businessmen from Russia.
