In Moscow, near the beaches, 8 thousand flats and apartments in 50 new buildings are currently on sale (+38% as of the beginning of June 2023). Ruslan Syrtsov, general director of the Metrium company, told socialbites.ca.
In “old” Moscow there are 12 large beaches concentrated in 11 districts and five districts on rivers, lakes and ponds. 11 of the 12 beaches are urban. The share of primary residences within walking or commuting distance to beaches in the total volume of apartments and flats for sale is 16.4%. So, every sixth apartment within the historical borders of the capital is adjacent to the water recreation area,” said Syrtsov.
According to him, 27.6 percent of new buildings near the beach belong to the mass segment, 51.8 percent to the business class, 19.9 percent to the premium class, and 0.7 percent to the elite segment.
There is a shortage of recreation areas near water in the east of Moscow. There the beach infrastructure is limited to a city beach on Putyaevsky Pond in Sokolniki Park. It is located next to the Sokolniki and Preobrazhenskoye districts, offering approximately 800 apartments in eight projects.
With data 36 new buildings with 2.4 thousand flats and apartments are for sale in “Metrium”, located next to Moscow’s most popular parks. The cheapest accommodation is near Izmailovsky Park.
