The State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill that would simplify out-of-court bankruptcy of Russians. This was reported by TASS.
According to the bill proposed by a group of deputies led by Sergei Gavrilov, chairman of the State Duma Committee on Property, Land and Property Relations, simplification will be associated with more direct interaction between responsible institutions.
“A citizen will be able to use the existing unified system of interdepartmental electronic interaction (SMEI) to obtain certificates about their property and financial situation. There will be no need for personal presence,” Gavrilov explained.
The deputy believes that in this way it will be easier to go through the bankruptcy procedure, as the new mechanism will help eliminate erroneous refusals to citizens.
