Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo said that his country, as President of the European Union Council, is trying to approve the 14th package of EU sanctions against Russia by the end of June. His words guide the way TASS.

“We are working to approve the 14th package of sanctions against Russia and I am confident that we will accept it before the end of the Belgian presidency,” he said.

De Croo spoke about this issue at a press conference with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in Brussels. Belgium’s presidency ends at the end of June.

Also de Croo statedIt was stated that Belgium and Ukraine signed a security agreement, which includes the provision of financial aid of 977 million euros to Kiev, as well as the supply of American F-16 fighter jets. According to him, the signed document also envisages the supply of 30 F-16s to Ukraine by 2028.
