Egyptian ministries are discussing issues of trade operations in Chinese yuan and Russian ruble. This was stated by RIA News Egyptian Finance Minister Mohammed Maait.
The minister noted that trade exchanges in Chinese yuan or Russian rubles would be important for Egypt.
“We have trade and economic agreements with these countries, and we are currently discussing all these issues with expert organizations in Egypt,” Maait said.
He emphasized that diversifying the currencies used in trade will provide significant economic benefits.
The head of the Egyptian Ministry of Finance added that BRICS has a basket of many currencies, including the currencies of the member states of the association, which have become popular around the world, such as the yuan and the UAE dirham.
