IT experts intensify attempts to leave Russia 05:02

According to consulting agency Garant In, the interest of Russian IT specialists in programs for obtaining a residence permit (RP) in Europe is growing rapidly. writes about this “Kommersant”.

According to the publication, the number of requests in the first quarter of this year increased by 233% compared to the previous year. The majority of applications are sent to France, which represents around 80% of all requests, with around 10% coming from Italy.

Experts note that despite the difficult political situation, there is a significant demand for Russian IT specialists abroad. Garant In CEO Andrey Boyko explains that France attracts experts with its favorable conditions for obtaining a residence permit, including the absence of the need for physical presence on its territory and the absence of mandatory investments.

Yakov and Partners Digital Technical Director Fedor Chemashkin emphasizes that many Russian IT experts who worked in foreign companies or their branches in Russia are gradually moving abroad, which creates demand for residence permit procedures. He also notes that the support of the IT sector in Russia makes it attractive to work in the country, but some professionals want to take action to maintain their skills in the global community.

Alexander Ponomarev, senior partner of executive search firm First, told Kommersant that Russian IT companies do not want to lose employees, but it is important to keep highly qualified specialists in the team. In conditions of isolation of the Russian IT market from the world community, more and more qualified personnel are looking for the opportunity to work in foreign companies, preserving their merits and professional skills.
