Self-employed and individual entrepreneurs have the opportunity to make voluntary contributions to the Social Fund and thus receive a decent pension. State Duma deputy Alexei Govyrin (United Russia) reported this to RIA Novosti.
Starting from 2024, the minimum amount for accounting for length of service is 50,798 rubles per year.
By the end of 2023, more than 9 million freelancers were registered in Russia.
“Many people mistakenly believe that this category of citizens cannot receive a pension. If a person works as an individual entrepreneur under an employment contract, is self-employed or does not work at all, he can contribute to the Social Fund at his discretion and provide himself with a good pension. The minimum contribution amount for accounting for the entire year 2024 is 50,798 rubles, for which 1,036 individual pension coefficients (IPC) are accrued. The maximum contribution amount is 406,391 rubles, which corresponds to 8,292 IPCs,” Govyrin explained.
The deputy also noted that in addition to accumulating coefficients, you can also postpone retirement, for which additional coefficients are given.
