The Indian company PS Biotech Private Limited and the head of the Sakhalin region, Valery Limarenko, signed an agreement under which the production of diapers and medical supplies will be launched in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk in 2024. This was reported by TASS.
“The first production in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk is planned to start in November 2024. “The regional government will produce baby diapers, personal hygiene products and other medical consumables,” he said, adding that the start of production will reduce the region’s dependence on imports of rehabilitation products and shorten the time it takes to deliver them to those in need.
According to Sakhalin officials, the signing of the agreement was a continuation of the cooperation that began during the working trip of the regional head and the Sakhalin delegation to New Delhi in 2023.
It was noted that the parties agreed to establish a dialogue between pharmaceutical companies in India and Sakhalin.
