Vigen Enokyan, head of the Armenian representative office of the Russian Export Center, said that banks’ refusal to provide services to Mir payment system cards will not affect Russian-Armenian trade in any way. His words guide the way TASS.

“The deactivation of the World card in Armenia will create a certain social unrest among tourists and the public. “However, this will not affect participants in foreign economic activity related to bank payments within the framework of export-import operations,” he is confident.

Yenokyan explained that businesses, as a rule, use other means for cross-border payments: corporate accounts, international bank transfers and other services.
