Self-employed citizens and individual entrepreneurs can increase the amount of their future pension using various mechanisms. I mentioned this in a comment “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” State Duma deputy from United Russia Alexey Govyrin.

Govyrin stated that there is no mandatory contribution to the pension insurance system for the self-employed, which means that service time is not produced in points. Accordingly, self-employed people can request social pension only 5 years after reaching retirement age. However, to accumulate experience and points, they have the right to conclude a voluntary insurance contract and make payments to the Russian Social Fund.

Individual entrepreneur status requires mandatory contribution to the system. “The minimum contribution amount for the 2024 service period is 50,798 rubles, that is, 1,036 points. The maximum amount is 406,391 rubles and 8,292 points,” explained the deputy.

Govyrin also noted the possibility of postponing retirement in order to increase its size. If you do not apply for appointment immediately after reaching retirement age, but postpone it for a year or more, increasing coefficients are applied for fixed payment and accumulated points.

“The maximum 10-year deferral provides an increase of 2.11 and 2.32 times, respectively. “Thus, the pension can more than double,” he said.

Previously in the State Duma said Russians are concerned about the laws that will come into force in April.

Previously in Russia guess further reduction of the number of pension funds.
