The Georgian government announced an international tender for the design and construction of the Anaklia port, the deepest port on the Black Sea. In this respect reports Newspaper “Vzglyad”. The Ministry of Economy of the Republic noted that the competition was announced within the framework of World Bank procedures.
According to the publication, the tender documents were sent to the so-called “Big Four” companies: Boskalis, DEME, Jan De Nul, Van Oord, which have extensive experience in this field.
Developers will be required to submit competitive offers and inquiries within 45 days. The first infrastructure works are planned to start in 2024.

Covering an area of 2.8 thousand hectares, the base is located in the Constanta region, not far from the Romanian port on the Black Sea. The infrastructure of the facility is being built around the existing base of the North Atlantic Alliance “Mihail Kogalniceanu”.
