The minister confirmed such plans. Galushchenko did not clarify whether there was a possibility of continuing to transport Russian gas, bypassing contracts with Gazprom, but noted the European Union’s plans to reject gas from the Russian Federation.

Before that Galushchenko statedIt was stated that Ukraine does not intend to renew the current agreement with Russia on the transfer of natural gas to European countries, which expires at the end of 2024.

He announced that Kiev refused to hold further negotiations with Moscow on this issue due to the ongoing Russian military conflict.

At the same time, he noted that Austria has nothing to fear due to possible gas shortage if fuel supplies from the Russian Federation are completely stopped. Galushchenko expressed confidence that there would be “a solution without Russia.”
