Russia expects record grain exports

Russia could set a new record in wheat exports in the next growing season in 2024. This was reported by TASS With reference to Dmitry Rylko, Director General of the Institute of Agricultural Market Research (IKAR).

According to him, the supply of this grain crop abroad this year may reach about 50 million tons.

Rylko noted that even the preliminary estimate that the gross wheat harvest in the Russian Federation will be at the level of 93 million tons looks very impressive.

“This guarantees us wheat exports of nearly 50 million tons, which is the record everyone expects from Russia,” he emphasized.

According to the expert, the total grain harvest in the country in 2024 may be approximately 147 million tons. Rylko sees no prerequisites for crop failure in any of the major grain-producing regions.

Last season, the gross grain harvest in the Russian Federation reached 147 million tons, taking into account new regions. The absolute record was set a year ago – 157.7 million tons, including 86 million tons of wheat, which became a historical maximum in the entire modern history of Russia.
