By the 2040s, the Russian economy will be entirely concentrated in the high-tech sector, which includes virtual reality, big data and artificial intelligence. The bank’s president, Pyotr Fradkov, said this at the plenary session of the financial literacy “Simple Capital” forum of the PSB “Economy of the Future – Growth Potential, New Development Scenarios”.
According to him, by the 40s, the situation will still be alternative, but by the 50s, living and working offline will become a privilege.
“Banks in their current form will die, but they will be reborn in a different form, taking into account the influence of online technologies and the IT industry,” believes Fradkov.
It was noted that the session participants discussed the strategies implemented by companies and businesses that contribute to the strengthening of the Russian economy. They also named the main factors restricting the growth of the country’s economy and industry.
Session moderator, Dean of the Faculty of Economics of Moscow State University. MV Lomonosov Alexander Auzan noted that topics that seemed like fantasy 50 years ago were discussed at the event.
He emphasized that despite the current successes of the Russian economy, we need to think longer term.
“The challenges are increasing and will continue to increase; tomorrow will be worse than the day after tomorrow, and we need to think about the day after tomorrow,” Auzan explained.
Transmashholding General Manager Kirill Lipa said that instead of import substitution, the path should be determined to develop the competencies in which companies are successful. He stated that there are many world-famous companies in the country that have found their own path of development. Lipa believes that moving away from stereotypes will contribute to the company’s growth potential. He also said that the need to protect and repair the trade and financial structures targeted by the sanctions policy is also important.
