Flying car production started in Japan

Japan’s Suzuki and Skydrive start producing flying cars, writes TASS Referring to the joint statement of the two companies. SKYDRIVE (SD-05) is planned to be introduced at Expo 2025 in Osaka.

“We have been preparing for production for more than six months. “We will continue to work even harder to lead the air mobility revolution,” said Skydrive CEO Tomohiro Fukuzawa.

SKYDRIVE (SD-05) is designed to carry up to three people, including the pilot. Equipped with 12 electric motors, the model can take off and land vertically. The maximum speed of the flying car will be 100 km/h and the flight range will be 15 km.

The flying car is expected to go on sale in 2026. Before this, the vehicle will need to go through certification and other necessary procedures.
