About 16% of respondents note the positive impact of part-time work, while 26% are sure that it negatively affects employee productivity. In 4% of companies, the employment of additional employees is prohibited.

Of those who rated the impact of part-time working as positive or neutral, 84% identified its main advantage, namely the possibility of additional income for staff. According to 83% of respondents, part-time workers are able to make useful connections that will be useful in their main job. 70% of respondents believe it helps improve time management skills, and 66% say gaining new experience is a plus. Another 16% believe that working part-time reduces the risk of professional burnout due to the variety of tasks.

Of the respondents who rated part-time work negatively for employees, 32% expressed concerns that staff could use company resources to earn additional income; This is also unacceptable.

Another 37% of respondents are confident that part-time work reduces employee productivity, and 36% see a risk of conflict of interest. Nearly a third (31%) of respondents believe this can lead to employee burnout.

Nearly 26% said part-time work distracted staff from their main responsibilities, and 21% admitted it was possible that employees would eventually make their part-time job their main workplace and leave.

The survey was completed by more than 350 company representatives from all regions of Russia, including managers, HR directors, recruiters and HR specialists.
