The United States and the European Union cannot reach an agreement on seizing frozen Russian assets on behalf of Ukraine. The newspaper writes about this Policy.
According to NATO Atlantic Council analyst Charles Litchfield, there has never been an attempt to seize all the assets of a country before. Therefore, such actions, although they may seem morally right to Americans and Europeans, have no legal basis.
