At the end of last year, retail chains in Dubai sold in record time nearly 8 tonnes of food products imported from the Moscow region to the UAE. In this respect TASS He told the press service of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region.
In November – December 2023, a trial batch (7.6 tons) of Moscow region products was placed in Dubai supermarkets. It took about a month for the products to hit the shelves.
The deliveries are being made within the framework of a new comprehensive program to support exporters. Currently, five Russian companies are involved in the pilot project: Europroduct (Tamaki sauces), Azovsky Bread (Timosha kozinaki), Solomon-Trade (seeds and Golden Gift snacks), Business Partnership (Gloriss candies) and Chillintown (Peroni honey soufflé). The products are sold by local retailers Union Coop, Grandiose and AllDay.
The Ministry drew attention to the effectiveness of the project. There are plans to expand supply to Saudi Arabia and China.
