Alexei Govyrin, a member of the State Duma Committee on Small and Medium Business, explained that the law on the right of Russians to prohibit taking loans will protect residents from fraudsters who cannot get online loans for their victims. According to him, applications for such loans will be accepted only through the State Services portal or when visiting the MFC.

“After registering on the website, a citizen will be able to apply electronically by specifying his TIN. “This information will be automatically sent to all credit history bureaus,” he said. explained Govyrin speaks to 360 ​​TV channel.

The parliamentarian noted that now even the State Services portal remains a vulnerable loophole for attackers who trick residents into gaining access to their accounts and the opportunity to confirm actions on the network.

The deputy added that if a suspicious transaction is detected, the bank will not only call the customer and inform him, but also freeze the transactions in the account. In such a case, you will need to contact the bank to clarify the information and reissue the card. This is very important, because the person will be sure that the bank will not send any links to his client and will not force him to reveal the data, and if this happens, scammers will talk to him.

“It is important to ensure mandatory notifications about attempts to obtain a loan and not after granting a loan or loan, as before,” Govyrin is convinced.

He added that, among other things, the new law will protect Russians from spontaneous purchases because online loans are issued within minutes.
