Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting with deputy prime ministers that the government will allocate 20 billion rubles for concessional loans for the agro-industrial complex (AIC). This was reported by RIA News.
According to Mishustin, the government will transfer 20 billion rubles to the Ministry of Agriculture. The adopted decision will help domestic farmers receive investment and short-term loans at a discounted rate.
The Prime Minister noted that the funds could be used for seasonal field work. Such financing will make it possible to implement large investment projects in the agro-industrial complex and will not only increase production volumes, but also the processing of agricultural raw materials at domestic facilities.
Mishustin pointed out that resources should be delivered to farmers quickly and called for monitoring the implementation of this task.
The press service of the government noted that with the help of these funds the agro-industrial complex could attract more than 804 billion rubles of loan funds on preferential terms. They will be used to carry out seasonal field work and implement investment projects.
