Shares of Italian carmaker Ferrari rose more than 13 percent on the New York Stock Exchange following the news that seven-time world champion Briton Lewis Hamilton will race for the factory team in the Formula 1 class from 2025. This was reported by TASS.
Since the start of the trading session on February 1, the company’s shares have gained 13.15% to $391.42 per share. As of 22:44 Moscow time, Ferrari shares were trading at $388.93.
It was noted that the concern’s revenue for the 2023 fiscal year increased by 17.2%, including the release of financial statements, the share price increased.
On February 1, seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton decided Leave the Mercedes team and sign a contract with Ferrari. Hamilton has represented Mercedes since 2013.
