Qiwi has completed the sale of its business in Russia by completing a transaction for the sale of assets in Russia. This was reported by TASS Referring to the new chairman of Qiwi plc, Alexey Mashchenkov.

“We have completed a very complex transaction on the sale of Russian assets and are now looking forward to new opportunities. Our priority is to create shareholder value and achieve sustainable and profitable business growth over time,” Mashchenkov said.

In June, it was reported that the Qiwi group, which owns the payment service of the same name, has fully consolidated its Russian assets under a local legal entity, thus completing the first stage of its restructuring plan. It was noted that the division of Russian and international assets is planned by September 2023.

Qiwi on January 19, 2024 completes restructuring of the business – the group sells its Russian assets to the Hong Kong company Fusion Factor Fintech Limited.
