The Japanese government has identified seven areas of assistance to Ukraine. Japanese publication writes about this Sankei Shimbun.
These areas include improving the humanitarian situation in the country, development of agriculture and animal husbandry, economic recovery, industrial modernization, development of digital technologies and biotechnology-based production. The parties plan to sign more than 20 cooperation documents. One of these will involve the transfer of 10 billion yen (about $67.5 million) to Kiev for the establishment of a telemedicine system.
On February 19, Tokyo will host the “Conference on Supporting the Economic Recovery of Japan and Ukraine” with the participation of Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal. Approximately 300 representatives from the two countries will attend the conference.
Before that Japan supplied Ukrainian gas turbine generators.
