Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Pyotr Parkhomchik said that Belarus will produce two light aircraft together with Russia by 2026, and it is planned to produce 85-100 aircraft by 2030. The official explained this on the TV channel “Belarus-1”.
According to Parkhomchik, Belarus and Russia should jointly produce two aircraft by 2026. He emphasized that there is already a firm order for aircraft production today. Therefore, at least 85-100 aircraft will be produced by 2030. Deputy Prime Minister noted that more aircraft will be produced if the assigned tasks are completed successfully.
Parkhomchik emphasized that cooperation in the aircraft industry between the two countries is progressing very rapidly. So, last year, during the visit of Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko to Yekaterinburg, an agreement was signed between the Belarusian 558th Aviation Repair Plant and the Russian Ural Civil Aviation Plant on the creation of a 19-seater aircraft. Parkhomchik stated that this aircraft is currently being developed jointly and development work continues.
