A missile hit a merchant ship near Yemen’s Aden port. This was reported by TASS Referring to maritime security company Ambrey.
It was noted that a fire broke out on the ship, but none of the crew was injured as a result of the impact.
The UK Navy’s Maritime Trade Coordination Office (UKMTO) also reported that a ship was attacked off the coast of Yemen, but did not provide details about the incident.
The incident occurred 60 nautical miles (111 km) southeast of Aden.
Formerly the British Navy’s Merchant Marine Coordination Center UKMTO reported It’s about the Houthi attack on a ship 60 km away from Aden, Yemen. According to the center, the missiles flew at a distance of 0.5 km and 4 km from the ship, causing no injuries to the crew and ship.
Amid the war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Yemen’s Houthi rebels began attacking commercial and military ships in the Red Sea in early October 2023.
