Ukraine will be able to stop importing gas in 2024 and become completely self-sufficient with its own production. This was announced by the country’s Energy Minister German Galushchenko, Reuters reported.
Galushchenko said Ukraine refused to buy Russian gas in 2015. According to him, Kiev is ready to switch to its own fuel and restart energy exports, which stopped during the last heating season. Galushchenko said Ukraine could achieve this by increasing production by 7% and reducing consumption.
