The arbitration said that the banks remained separate legal entities and the connection between them was established at the level of the main structures, namely UBS Group AG and Credit Suisse Group AG. Therefore, it is necessary to file for bankruptcy with Credit Suisse.

On December 1, 2023, the Moscow Arbitration Court did not accept the request of the Russian bank Zenit to declare UBS AG bankrupt and terminated the proceedings. This was the first bankruptcy case initiated in a Russian court for a foreign credit institution.

Previously known as UBS decided It rejects customers from Russia and plans to close up to 75% of Russian accounts.
