Rosstat has compiled a list of products whose prices increased more than others in 2023

Among the products in the Russian market in 2023, the prices that increased the most were eggs, tomatoes and pears. This was reported by RIA News Referring to Rosstat.

The price of eggs, which became the meme of the last month of 2023, increased by 61.4 percent throughout the year, while tomatoes increased by 51.1 percent and pears increased by 48.3 percent. The top five most expensive products included bananas (46.9%) and grapes (48.2%).

Garlic and motor fuel showed significant growth of over 40%. More than a quarter of the goods on the list of goods tracked by Rosstat saw an increase in their cost above the annual inflation rate of 7.4%. First of all, these are food products – cabbage, lamb, pork, chicken, cucumbers, fish, sugar and rice.

The expert believes that inflation in 2024 will be within the limits seen by the monetary authorities.
