Rusagrotrans announced record grain exports

Russia updated its three-year record in grain exports. This was reported by RIA News With reference to the analytical center of Rusagrotrans JSC, the country’s largest operator in the agricultural cargo transportation segment.

We state that we are talking about the period between July 1 and December 31, 2023.

Experts note that “in the first half of the 2023-2024 season, grain and legume exports became a record for all main positions, including EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union) countries.”

The previous maximum amount was 32.7 million tonnes, according to the operator. Currently, grain exports, including pulses and flour, have reached almost 39 million tons; this is 19% higher than previous record levels. In particular, the volume of wheat exports is estimated at 27.6 million tons, an increase of 3.8% compared to the record three years ago.

Before that the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport reportedIt was stated that the cargo turnover of Russian ports reached 883.8 million tons by the end of 2023, increasing by 5 percent compared to the previous year.
