According to Rosstat, pensions in the Russian Federation increased by 2.4% in January 2023 compared to the same month in 2022. Turkey has been a leader in payments growth – according to the OECD, they increased by 17.4% year-on-year in January 2023. Growth was 15.6% in Mexico, 2.8% and 2.5% in Belgium and Spain respectively. According to the OECD, inflation-adjusted pensions in January 2023 fell in most countries of the organization (25 out of 38 economies). Most importantly in Estonia (minus 9.7%). In Poland and Costa Rica, payments fell by 7.7% and 7.1% respectively, and in Sweden and Denmark by 6% and 5.7% respectively.
