The government of Sber and the Lipetsk region signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence. This was reported by the bank’s press service.

It was noted that the document was signed by Alexander Vedyakhin, first deputy chairman of the Sberbank board of directors, and Igor Artamonov, governor of the Lipetsk region.

The agreement includes the development of artificial intelligence and machine learning, as well as the promotion of research and innovation activities. This is expected to contribute to the creation of advanced technologies and services in the Lipetsk region.

As Vedyakhin noted, the Lipetsk region is dynamically moving towards AI transformation. According to him, the bank, together with the local government, is implementing a wide range of digital projects for the sustainable development of the region and improving the quality of life of residents.

“In Lipetsk, an agreement was reached on the opening of School 21, which will help solve the problem of the lack of highly qualified IT specialists. Advanced artificial intelligence solutions are increasingly used in various sectors of the economy and social sphere, as well as in regional management. “The signed agreement will further strengthen our cooperation and accelerate the development of new technologies for the benefit of citizens,” he said.

Additionally, the region plans to conduct research and pilot applications of machine learning models and other artificial intelligence technologies in various sectors of the economy. Joint events, competitions and hackathons will also be organized to expand the use of artificial intelligence in the work of government institutions.

“In addition to modern video analysis systems that ensure the safety of residents, we use artificial intelligence to monitor and manage traffic flows. Our voice assistants help you apply for EDS or call a doctor. Using such systems, we collect feedback from residents and adjust the work of institutions, helping them become more customer-oriented,” said Artamonov.

“According to him, the signed agreement will help the region make significant progress in developing modern services and improving the quality of life of the population.”
