North Korean leader Kim Jong-un ordered increased production of poultry meat and chicken eggs during a visit to a new poultry farm. This has been reported Web site Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
The publication quotes the North Korean leader as saying: “It is necessary to constantly increase production capacity to provide people with more chicken meat and eggs.”
According to the agency, the North Korean leader made this statement during his visit to the Gwangcheon chicken factory on January 7.
KCNA noted that the initiator of the construction of this enterprise was the North Korean leader. According to the agency, the poultry farm “will make a significant contribution to improving nutrition” [северокорейского] people.”
Kim Jong-un was pleased with the modern level and automation of meat and egg production and called for other farms to be modernized, following the example of the new factory. He concluded that the same business is planned to open in Pyongyang in 2024.
