As of December 1, the volume of cash in circulation reached 17.91 trillion. From January to November 2023, cash balances in the hands of the population increased by 1.56 trillion rubles, or 9.6%. As of December 28, the amount of cash in Russian hands increased by 374.7 billion rubles. Thus, in almost a year the amount exceeded 1.9 trillion rubles. In 2022, the increase amounted to 2.28 trillion rubles.
