Many oil companies of the Rus-Oil holding came under state control. This was reported by Interfax With reference to entries in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities dated December 27.

Additionally, the state now controls Mayorskoye LLC, its parent company Gas and Oil Company LLC, Ai-Kurussky LLC, Khortitsa LLC and Vostochno-Talovy LLC.

In 2023, the Moscow Zamoskvoretsky District Court found businessman Alexei Khotin, owner of the Rus-Oil holding, guilty of tax evasion and decided to recover 192 billion rubles from him in favor of the state.
