Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said that by the end of 2023, federal budget revenues and expenses will exceed the indicators specified in the law. The agency reports that Interfax.
According to the minister, income and expenditure figures were higher than previously planned. Therefore, as income increased, expenses also increased. Thus, revenues, especially from oil and natural gas, increased by 3.1 trillion rubles. Expenditures in 2023 actually amounted to 32.2 trillion rubles, against the current plan of 29 trillion rubles.
Siluanov noted that the total amount of expenditure increased. There is restructuring of expenses, but this is a normal process.
The Minister particularly emphasized that investment and social expenditures in the country have practically not decreased. Current liabilities have not been reduced by 90% and optimization of some of them is not significant.
