Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries, St. A full-scale free trade agreement was signed with Iran at a ceremony held in St. Petersburg. This was reported by TASS.

The publication states that the document was signed by Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Ovechkuk and Iranian Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Abbas Ali-Abadi. Representatives of Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan also signed the agreement.

The agreement will replace interim agreements that have been in place since 2019.

As a result, the parties expect a significant increase in the supply of food and industrial products, which will lead to a threefold increase in turnover to 18-20 billion dollars in five to seven years.

It is also expected that lowering taxes on components will help facilitate localization of production.

The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) includes five countries: Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
